Samsung’s upcoming smartphone Galaxy A8 2016 with model number SM-A810 was strong>found on GFXBencmarking website last month. Now the Samsung Galaxy A8 2016 has been spotted on GeekBench Benchmarking website with model no Samsung SM-A810F. The Galaxy A8 (2016) has been through Geekbench various times.
In the GeekBench listing, the Samsung Galaxy A8 2016 got 1467 in single-core test and in muli-core test it received 5018. As per the listing on Geekbench, the Samsung Galaxy A8 2016 has 3GB RAM and Exynos 7420 Chipset with 1.5 GHz octa core processor. The handset is based on the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow operating system. Apart from this there’s no other specs listed on the Geekbench page.
The specs listed on Geekbench are in line with the specs that were listed on GFXBench. As per the listing on GFXBench, Samsung Galaxy A8 2016 has a 5.1-inch display that has full HD (1920×1080 pixels) resolution and 5 finger gesture support. Besides as per the listing, it has octa-core processor, 3GB RAM, 32GB of internal storage out of which 25GB is reserved for the users, Mali T760 GPU and Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow operating system. Further, the Samsung phone is listed with 16-megapixel Autofocus camera and an LED flash in its rear panel. There is a 5-megapixel camera in its front for selfies. The GFX listing shows that the device has connectivity features like Bluetooth, GPS, NFC and WiFi. As per the listing, the device has accelerometer, gyroscope, light sensor and proximity sensor as well.
Samsung had launched its smartphone Galaxy A8 for Rs 32,500 in India last year. Samsung Galaxy A8 is powered by an Exynos 5 Octa Core (1.8GHz Quad Core + 1.3GHz Quad Core) processor and 2GB RAM. The smartphone runs on the latest Android v5.1 (Lollipop) operating system. It has Internal Memory of 32GB which can be further expanded to 128 GB via micro SD card. On the display front, it has a 5.7 inch Super AMOLED screen with 1920×1080 resolution. It weighs 151 grams.
Galaxy A8 is loaded with 16 megapixel auto focus rear camera with optical image stabilisation, f/1.9 aperture, a Wide-Angle lens (120 degrees) and LED flash. It also has a 5-megapixel front camera which can be used to take wide selfies. It even has a fingerprint scanner which doubles up as a home button and can be used to lock/unlock the device.
The Dual SIM Samsung Galaxy A8 is equipped with LTE Cat 6 (4G) and a has a 3050 mAh Li-ion, non-removable battery. Other connectivity options in A8 are GPS, GLONASS WiFi 802.11, a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1 and WiFi Direct.
The Samsung Galaxy A8 2016 also recently received Bluetooth certification. The official Samsung Galaxy A8 launch date is not known at the moment but these frequent spottings hints that the device might get launched soon.
