Ending a long hiatus, Samsung has finally announced the successor of its Corby handset. The Samsung S3850 Corby II is expected to available in India next month. It is the successor of the S3650 Corby that was launched in September 2009.
The phone comes in white, pink and yellow colors. It measures 109.9mm x 60.6mm x 11.7mm (4.33in x 2.39in x 0.46in) and weighs 102g (3.6oz).
S3850 has a 3.14-inch touchscreen display with a QVGA resolution and looks almost the same as its predecessor. Surprisingly it isn’t a 3G handset though supports GSM/GPRS/EDGE. But it does have Wi-Fi b/g/n support apart from Bluetooth 3.0.
It comes with a microSD card slot that supports up to 16GB. Other features include 3.5mm audio jack, FM radio with RDS, 2 MP camera, and
Its 1,000mAh battery gives 9.5 hours of Talk time or 25.8 days of standby.
Besides TouchWiz UI user interface, it will come pre-loaded with Facebook, Twitter widgets and IM services.
The Corby II will be launched later this month in Germany and then will be released throughout Europe, Latin America, Asia and Africa.
Samsung is yet to announce its price.
