With London Olympics in full swing, Samsung has now announced a new feature for its Chat On Messaging service that will give its users updates about the biggest quadrennial event as they happen.
Called as the Olympic Buddy, the feature will keep Chat On users updated about daily schedules, medal tables and breaking news from Olympics.
Samsung had last year announced the launch of the Chat On feature for Samsung smartphones. Later, the handset manufacturer extended the messaging service to non-Samsung based devices as well.
Now Chat On works across all major smartphone and feature phone platforms including Android, BADA and iOS. It allows users interact with friends and family, regardless of device platforms via text, images, hand-written notes and even videos.
Along with the addition of the Olympic Buddy feature, Samsung has also added a host of new improvements to the Chat On application as well that includes the all new Rename Buddy feature that allows users to name their friends as they wish.
Minor bugs and glitches have also been fixed for better overall user experience for both smartphones and tablets as well.
