Royal Enfield is set to lunveil its new two-wheelers under a new X sporty range. Already two models under the X series have been spotted, namely Thunderbird 350 and Thunderbird 500.
The new Enfields have been spotted in bright blue, yellow and red coloured tanks while the rest of the body is in black. Meanwhile, today the brochure of the bikes have been leaked ahead of the launch.
The leaked brochure confirms earlier speculations. As told earlier, Thunderbird 350x has a 346 cc engine and generates 20 hp of power and 28 Nm of torque while the Thunderbird 500x to come with 499cc, single cylinder, air-cooled mill that is good for 27 hp of power and 41 Nm of torque. Both of them are said to have five-speed gearbox.
They are said to have disc brakes in both front and rear wheel. Anti-lock braking system is expected.
Moreover, reports say that they have 20 liter fuel tank and comprehensive twin pod instrument cluster with twin trip meters.
Further they expected to have new handlebar, black alloy wheels, tubeless tyres, and a single-piece seat. Note these will be the first Royal Enfield bikes to sport tubeless tyres and alloy wheels
Existing models of Thunderbirds are priced between Rs 1.48 lakh and Rs 1.90 lakh (ex-showroom Mumbai), so expect a higher price tag in the upcoming models.
