A new version of photo and video sharing App — Path, is now available on iTunes for iOS devices.
Originally, the app was meant to allow people to share photos and videos with a close group which in contrast to the widely sharing social networking websites like Facebook and Twitter. The revamped version has expanded the ability of the app. Termed as a ‘smart journal’, the new Path 2 app allows users to share music they are listening to, the places they visit and the people they meet.
Earlier, people could choose only 50 people with whom they can share the contents. Now the revamped version allows users to extend the group to up to 150.
On Path, the details and postings remain safe by default, simply because they are shared only when the users want it to. Those who want the sharing to be more public, can explicitly make sure things are shared on Facebook, Foursquare, Twitter also but it is never done by default.
Path may turn out to be an app which is a digital version of recorded memory, which is how the Path users are using the app for.
