Reliance Jio rivals Airtel by offering 1.5GB more data to its users on its range of plans

All Reliance Jio users, new and existing, will get 1.5GB/day additional 4G data on recharge of any plan. This simply means users recharging for Rs 149, Rs 349, Rs 399 and Rs 499 will not get 3GB per day as opposed to 1.5GB/day offered earlier. The telecom operator has also announced a discount on all recharges options.

Reliance Jio has announced it will be offering 1.5GB more data to its range of plans in a bit to rival Airtel latest Rs 149 and Rs 399 plan. The telecom operator has also announced a discount on all recharges options.

To start with the data first, all Reliance Jio users, new and existing, will get 1.5GB/day additional data on recharge of any plan. This simply translate that users recharging for Rs 149, Rs 349, Rs 399 and Rs 499 will not get 3GB per day as opposed to 1.5GB/day offered earlier. Similarly, on recharge of Rs 198, Rs 398, Rs 448 and Rs 498 plans, users will get 3.5GB of data per day as opposed to 2GB/day offered earlier.

Further, on recharge of Rs 299, Rs 509 and Rs 799, users will get 4.5GB/day, 5.5GB/day and 6.5GB/day of 4G data respectively. Earlier, the same plans used to offer 3GB/day, 4GB/day and 5GB/day data respectively. However, this is a limited time offer and the additional data benefit will be available post 4 pm starting 12th June to 30th June 2018.

Coming to the benefits to MyJio app, users will get Rs 100 discount on all recharges of Rs 300 and above. Further, they will get 20 percent discount on recharges below Rs 300. However, users need to recharge through MyJio and pay using PhonePe wallet. So, for example, Rs 149 plan that comes with 3GB/day data, unlimited voice calls, and Jio apps for 28 days, will be effectively priced at Rs 120. Similarly, Rs 399 pack will be effectively available for Rs 299.
