If you have been waiting for Reliance Jio’s 4G services, you might have to wait for a bit longer. As per a report of financial daily Mint, Reliance Jio will launch its operations as late as September this year.
Reliance Jio expected to roll out its services last year itself but it did not. Instead, the telecom arm of Reliance Industries made available its services for its employees and their families. In May this year, extended its services for public through employee driven invite system. The operator further opened its beta programme earlier this month. Now anyone can request on Jio’s website to become a part of the beta testing.
Just few days back, reports claimed that Reliance Jio has 70 lakh users who are testing its beta network who have downloaded 13 million GB of data at an average of 19.2 GB per user.
Reliance Jio has also bolstered its presence in the handset market by launching a range of 4G enabled smartphones under its LYF brand.
