Earlier last month, Mukesh Ambani officially launched Reliance Jio after gradually expanding it to most of the available 4G VoLTE smartphones. At that time, Reliance Jio introduced the new Welcome Offer in which all the Jio Users get free 4G data (Speed limit up to 4GB per day), Free calls and SMS up to 31st December, 2016.
Further, last week reports suggested that if you are planning to enroll to this Welcome Offer then you need to do it before December 3rd, 2016.
Now, reports from Mint have suggested that Reliance Jio might expand the Welcome offer beyond the December 31 deadline. According to Mind, a spokesperson from Reliance Jio was spotted saying that it would be unfair to charge customers until Jio management is fully satisfied with the quality of service which is why reports now suggests that the offer might be extended to March 2017.
Recently, a lot has been going on between Reliance Jio and other telecom operators such as Airtel, Vodafone etc. Blaming other operators, Reliance Jio has pointed out lack of interconnect points which is eventually causing call drops on a humongous scale. However, Jio finally managed to get support from TRAI which appealed fellow telecom operators to cooperate with the new entrant.
Lately, Reliance Jio has witnessed a lot of criticism from its users for not providing the promised speed which the company justified by pointing out to the Fair Usage Policy referring to which one is only eligible to use 4GB 4G data per day.
