Reliance Jio, during its Annual General Meeting 2018, has announced its much-awaited fibre-to-home Broadband services in India. Dubbed as JioGigaFiber, users can subscribe to the service starting from August 15.
CEO Mukesh Ambani announced that the broadband services will be made available in 1,100 cities in the country. “Gone are the days of Mbps, now it will be about Gbps,” says Isha Ambani during RIL AGM. Users can register for the services from August 15 from the MyJio App and Jio’s official website. The company will roll out the services in localities based on the interest it has received from the registrations.
The services were in beta testing for a quite a while now. The company claims it is the one-stop destination for all the needs. The brand has revealed that it will be offering the most advanced fibre-based broadband connectivity solutions in the country.
Reliance Jio will offer broadband services, IPTC, landline video conferencing, virtual gaming and more. Users can also connect their virtual reality headsets and enjoy 360-degree 4K videos with the JioGigaFiber. Further, users can use Voice commands on microphone-enabled TV remote to access Jio suites of apps including Jio TV, Jio Cinema and more.
