To be precise, Jio wants to reach up to 80 percent of India’s population in order to provide high-speed internet, free calls and SMS. In order to do that and do it quickly, Jio has now started doorstep delivery for Jio SIMs. Mukesh-Ambani’s Reliance Jio service was made commercial back on September 5th, 2016. Jio has been going through a lot with other telecom operators like Airtel, Vodafone etc after which Airtel finally provided more than enough interconnection points.

Further, recently there were also reports that Jio Welcome Offer might be extended till March 2017 as the network still lacks the required quality of service to be official. Further, a spokesperson then pointed out that it would be unfair to charge customers for a service which is still not ready.

Moreover, Jio is also planning to launch new feature phones with a price as low as Rs 1000. Two of these feature phone series from Reliance Jio are expected to launch in January to March. Interestingly, these feature phones will function a lot like smartphones and will come with Internet and unlimited calling functionality. However, rumors have it that they will not come with a touchscreen.
