Reliance Communications has rolled out new ‘One India, One Rate’ offer pan India to offer free National Roaming for its post-paid and pre-paid GSM subscribers. Under this offer, Rcom’s GSM subscribers will have to pay only the tariff of their chosen home plan and not a single paise extra for roaming. Reliance will offer free incoming calls while roaming for free on RCom network.
The new One India, One Rate offer basically promises same tariff charges pan India based on the chosen home plan. Both Post-paid and Pre-paid GSM subscribers can choose their home plan to enjoy same voice call tariffs even when on roaming.
For the pre-paid GSM subscribers, there is a special recharge of Rs 45 which bundles them free incoming calls and outgoing call at 40 paise per minute – Local, STD and Roaming. The validity of this recharge would be 30 days. Though Reliance promises One India, One Rate, the MRPs of the recharge value will vary by Circles.
Meanwhile, the postpaid GSM subscribers get two home plans. The home plan costing Rs 350 bundles 700 mins of free out-going calls – Local, STD and Roaming – and offers 200 mins free incoming calls. Apart from that, the users can also enjoy free 100 SMS and free 1 GB 3G or 2G data (circle dependent). Once the free minutes are used up, a flat rate of 40 paise per minute for outgoing calls is applicable for all calls – Local, STD and roaming.
Wheres the Rs 599 Rental bundles free outgoing calls for 1200 mins – Local, STD and Roaming – along with free incoming calls, free 100 SMS and free 2 GB 3G or 2G data. Once the free minutes of the outgoing calls are used up, a flat rate of 30 paise per minute is applicable.
In short, the Reliance GSM subscribers who are on the move across the country often, should ideally go for either of the home plan rentals in post-paid or do a special recharge on their pre-paid SIM.
