Partnering with digital media and distribution company FunOnGo Media, Reliance Entertainment has today announced its first multi-lingual All-In-One entertainment App -‘Chillx’. As of now the app has been just launched for Android with both free and premium models.
Chillx is basically an entertainment app offering both free and paid access to videos, music, short films and movies. What’s different about this app is that currently it supports different regional language such as Bengali, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Tamil, and Telugu. Reliance predicts that by 2020, about 85 percent of smartphone users in India will access entertainment in their local languages.
Apart from free and paid content, there is also ad-supported content. As for the plans for the paid content, it starts at Rs 49 per month. One has to login via their mobile number if not from their Facebook and Google accounts. Post login there will be an option to customize the content according to your interest. Also, future recommendations will be provided based on how one uses the app.
Reliance further boasts that with Chillx, it has become one of the biggest content aggregators in the country with over 500 partners including players like Plan C Company and Phantom Films.
There is also a Reward Menu, where you can earn rewards by just installing the app, sharing it online, liking the content etc. These rewards as of now can be only redeemed to purchase content on the app.
The app is already available for download on Google Play Store and Reliance Entertainment further claims that it will form as a part of bloatware on smartphones from select companies like Micromax, Intex, Lava and Karbonn.
