Redmi has finally announced to launch of Redmi Note 8 and Redmi Note 8 Pro, Redmi Note 8 Pro World Of Warcraft Edition smartphones in China.
Redmi Note 8 comes in three colour options Black, Blue, White and sale will kick start from September 17th. It has three variants, the 4GB RAM with 64GB of storage is priced at 999 yuan (approximately Rs 10,021), the 6GB RAM with 64GB of storage is priced at 1199 yuan (approximately Rs 12,030) and the 6GB of RAM with 128GB of internal storage cost 1399 yuan (approximately Rs 14,036).
Redmi Note 8 Pro comes in three colour options Ice Jade Green, Mother-of-Pearl White and Electric Light Grey. The phone has three variants the 6GB of RAM with 64GB of internal storage is priced at 1,399 Yuan(approximately Rs 14,043),the 6GB of RAM with 128GB of internal storage is priced at 1,599 Yuan (approximately Rs16,055), while the 8GB of RAM with 128GB of internal storage, one has to shell out 1,799 Yuan (approximately Rs 18,063). The sale will kick start from September 3rd. The company has also announced Redmi Note 8 Pro custom version of the black shark game controller, priced at 179 yuan (the first batch of users gets the accessory in just 99 yuan).
Redmi Note 8 features a 6.39-inch FHD+ AMOLED Display with a resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels, 90 per cent screen-to-body ratio, waterdrop-style notch,TUV Rheinland eye protection certification and aspect ratio of 19:5:5. It comes armed with Snapdragon 665 11nm processor (Quad 2GHz Kryo 260 + Quad 1.8GHz Kryo 260 CPUs) coupled with Adreno 610 GPU, 3rd generation AIE engine. The phoner has double-sided 2.5D glass design and 5th generation Gorilla glass protection on the front and back with splash-resistant coating. The phone comes with an option to expand the storage up to 256GBvia microSD card.
For the optics, it has an AI quad rear camera setup with 48-megapixel as the primary sensor with f/1.79 aperture, Sony IMX586 sensor, 6P lens, PDAF, EIS, an 8-megapixels 120 degree super wide-angle lens with 1.12 μm, 2-megapixel macro lenswith1.75μm pixel size, f/2.4 aperture and a 2-megapixels depth of field lens along withDual LED Flash. On the front, it has a 13-megapixel selfie shooter that supports AI beauty. The phone runs on Android 9 based on MIUI 10 and comes packed with 4000mAh battery with 18W fast charge support.
Other features include super linear speaker, hidden speaker sound wave dust removal, 0.4mm maximum amplitude, Fingerprint sensor,Splashproof (P2i nano-coating) and it has automatic cleaning patent design. Further, the Redmi Note 8 comes equipped with a Type-C interface with an Infrared remote control and a 3.5mm Headphone jack. Other connectivity options include VoLTE, WiFi 802.11ac, GPS with A-GPS and GLONASS. The phone measures164.4×75.6×9.3mm and weigh 198 grams.
On the other hand, Redmi Note 8 Pro features a 6.53-inch FHD+ (2340×1080 pixels) display with 3D curved glass design, waterdrop-style notch,TUV Rheinland eye certification and comes powered by the MediaTek Helio G90T processor. The G90T processor has two ARM Cortex-A76 and six Cortex-A55, the highest Frequency is 2.05GHz, alongside ARM Mali-G76 MC4 GPU clocked at 800MHz). The device comes with a 3mm diameter heat pipe for liquid cooling (which achieves a cooling effect of 4 to 6 degrees Celsius). It is the world’s first to be certified by the German Rheinland High-Performance Network Connection (Game). Moreover, it features Mediatek HyperEngine and Game Turbo 2.0 to enhance the gaming experience.
On the camera front, the smartphone has an AI quad rear camera setup with a 64-megapixel as the primary sensor (ISOCELL Bright GW1 64MP sensor) that will offer up to 25x zoom with supports 9248×6936 ultra high resolution, 8-megapixel as the secondary sensor, 2-megapixel third sensor and another 2-megapixel as the fourth sensor. On the front, it offers a 20-megapixel selfie camera that supports AI beauty. The smartphone runs on Android 9 based on MIUI 10 and will get its power from 4500mAh battery with 18W charging support along with a USB Type C port. Other features IR blaster, 3.5mm headphone jack, and IP52 certification for waterproof. The Redmi Note 8 Pro support multi-function NFC, which claims to be the best value NFC phone available with the NPX-SN100T chip, the transaction speed is increased by 30% compared with the previous generation. The smartphone measures 161.3mmx76.4mmx8.8mm and weigh around 199 grams.
As far as Redmi Note 8 Pro World Of Warcraft Edition is concerned, it comes with almost same specifications as of standard edition of Redmi Note 8 Pro, except it has special Warcraft package dedicated to the “tribe” and “alliance”, Warcraft Edition dedicated mobile phone case, commemorative card, limited set collection certificate, classic custom theme “World of Warcraft” Fire King. This special edition comes in two colour options, electro-optic grey, mother-of-pearl white.
