Last week, Realme successfully sold 2 lakh units of its Realme 2 smartphone in under 5 minutes of the first flash sale. In the second flash sale that was hosted by the company on Flipkart, Realme managed to sell as much as 1.7 lakh more units to bring the total count to 3.7 lakh of units sold to 3.7 lakh in just two flash sales.
Realme took to Twitter to thank its Indian users for having helped the newly-independent brand to achieve this feat. The company hasn’t revealed anything further about future flash sales.
Realme 2 which was initially pitched as the successor to the Realme 1 didn’t turn out to impress as much as it’s older sibling did.But, it appears like it has certainly gotten to budget smartphone users by bringing some trendy little add-ons like a notched screen and a fingerprint sensor, which were to present on the Realme 1.
To recall, Realme 2 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 octa-core processor clocked at 1.8GHz coupled with Adreno 506 GPU. The device is available in two memory configurations: 3GB RAM with 32GB storage and 4GB RAM with 64GB storage. There’s a 6.2-inch SuperView HD+ display with a screen resolution of 1520 x 720 pixels, 19:9 aspect ratio and a 271ppi Pixel density.
For optics, the Realme 2 is loaded with dual rear cameras that come with a combination of 13-megapixel primary lens with f/2.2 Aperture and a secondary 2-megapixel sensor with f/2.4 aperture. For the front, there is an 8-megapixel shooter with f/2.2 aperture.
