Realme has today introduced a new smartphone for the Indian market. Dubbed as Realme 2 Pro, the smartphone comes with a price tag of Rs 13,990 for the 4GB + 64GB variant, Rs 15,990 for 6GB + 64GB option and Rs 17,990 for 8GB + 128GB model. The smartphone will be exclusively available on Flipkart starting from October 11, 2018.
The major highlight of the smartphone is the new waterdrop-like notch at the top that houses the front-facing camera. The phone comes with a glass design, which the brand has claimed as crystal-like dewdrop back panel. The back panel is made with 15 layers of laminated technology. The phone will be in Ice Lake, Blue Ocean and Black Sea colour options.
Jumping straight to the specifications, the Realme 2 Pro features a 6.3-inch Full HD+ display with a screen resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels with 19:9 aspect ratio and 409ppi pixel density. The phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 Processor with Adreno 512 GPU. The phone is backed by a 4GB/6GB/8GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB storage. The memory can be further expanded up to 256GB via micro SD card slot.
For optics, the smartphone employs a dual-camera setup with primary sensor sporting 16-megapixel Sony IMX398 sensor, f/1.7 Aperture and 6P lens, while the secondary sensor is used to create a bokeh effect. For the front, there is a 16-megapixel shooter with f/2.0 aperture and AI beauty mode.
The Realme 2 Pro is backed by a 3500mAh battery with no Fast charging and it runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with company’s ColorOS 5.2 running on top of it. On the connectivity front, the phone features dual 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth, WiFi, GPS, GLONASS, dual-SIM, microSD card slot and Micro USB port. The phone measures 156.7 x 74 x 8.5mm and weighs 174 grams.
