Razer, a company known for making top-of-the-line gaming hardware and accessories, is all set to venture into mobile gaming with the launch of a new smartphone. The company has posted a teaser of a launch event scheduled for November 1 where it is reported to launch the device.
However, the company has not revealed what it will be launching on the said date, but the teaser image shows a man holding a smartphone, along with some gaming titles at the background. This could mean that the company might launch a gaming-centric smartphone on November 1.
According to various reports in the past indicates that Razor is secretly working on a smartphone for some time now. Recently, company’s CEO Min-Liang Tan revealed that the company is indeed working on a smartphone in an interview with CNBC. Later on, Tim Moss, Head of Razer mobile division, tweeted a photo of him and Tan standing together. A closer look at the photograph reveals Razer Snake logo on a smartphone in Moss’s pocket, which further hinted the existence of a smartphone.
Earlier this year, Razer acquired Nextbit, a cloud-based smartphone manufacturer, which hinted that the company is looking to venture into smartphone industry in the near future. However, it would be interesting to what the company is planning to launch on November 1. So, stay tuned us.
