Qualcomm has announced its latest flagship mobile SoC, the Snapdragon 865 which is expected to power Android smartphones which are expected to be launched in 2020. As of now, Xiaomi has confirmed that the Mi 10 will be powered by the Snapdragon 865 SoC.
Snapdragon 765 and Snapdragon 765G chips with integrated 5G modems have also been unveiled. While detailed information about the chips has not been shared three new processors come with 5G and AI capabilities.
Qualcomm claims that Snapdragon 865 SoC is its 5th-gen AI engine which is capable of doing 15TOPS (Tera operations per second) — 2x faster than the fourth-gen AI processor on the Snapdragon 855 silicon. On the camera front, Qualcomm new chip can support cameras with a Resolution of up 200-megapixels and shoot 8k videos at 30fps.
Snapdragon 865 also boasts the Snapdragon Elite Gaming offer 25 percent improved gaming experience. Some of the brands like Realme, Oppo, Nokia, Vivo and Xiaomi have announced that they plan to use the latest Chipset in the smartphone they plan to launch.
