After first partnering with each other in the year 2014, Uber has now collaborated with Paytm to let users book an Uber ride right from the Paytm app. Under the ‘Now, Book on Paytm’ option inside the Paytm app, you will now see an option to Book and Uber ride. Tapping it will prompt a message which will ask you to redirect to the Uber app. If you don’t have Uber installed on your device, the message will then ask you to download the same from PlayStore.
Surprisingly, even after introducing dial an Uber from your native browser, the new functionality inside Paytm App asks you to download the app instead of just redirecting to dial an uber web page on the browser.
Last month, Uber partnered with Google to bring the booking functionality to Google Maps. However, in this case, you could find, book and pay for your Uber ride right from Google Maps instead of being redirected to Uber app eventually. Before that,Previously, Google Maps would list you the various cab aggregator service providers with fare estimates but you had to eventually finish up the whole booking and payment process through either Uber app (if installed) or from the Browser (if not installed).
Lastly, Uber has also rolled out a new offer for the first time users. Entering the code ‘PAYTM17’ will fetch you Rs 50 off on your first three rides with Uber.
