Panasonic is all set to announce a new smartphone for the Indian market on August 1. The company has shared an invite with us for the event.
The invite has no information at all about the upcoming smartphone. However, Phoneradar has claimed that the upcoming phone could be the 4G version of the older Eluga Arc as Eluga Arc 2. However, this is just assumption and should be taken as a pinch of salt.
The Eluga Arc, which was launched at Rs 12,490 in April this year, has a 4.7 inch HD IPS 2.5D curved display. It has 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of inbuilt storage. There is an expandable storage as well that can hold a 32 GB micro SD card.
The Android 5.1 Lollipop based Panasonic Eluga Arc is powered by a 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor. It comes with an 8 megapixel rear camera that has f2.0 Aperture and 6P lens. An LED flash light is also in its rear panel. A 5 megapixel camera is in the front of Eluga Arc.
Besides, Panasonic Eluga Arc has fingerprint scanner, dual SIM, 4G, LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS. It has an 1,800 mAh battery that comes with Qualcomm Quick Charge 1.0 support.
So if Eluga Arc 2 gets launched eventually, we expect similar price tag (about Rs 12,500) but with much better features. As of now, Panasonic offers smartphones in three series – Eluga, P series and T series.
