Panasonic P81 with octa-core mobile processor launched for Rs 18,990

Panasonic has introduced a new Dual-SIM smartphone P81 for Rs 18,990 packing octa-core mobile chipset, 13 megapixel camera and runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean.

Panasonic has formally released its flagship smartphone, the Panasonic P81, in India. Panasonic P81 is priced at Rs 18,990 and comes bundled with accessories worth Rs 2,000 and apps worth Rs 9,900.

The P81 features a 5.5-inch IPS display with 1280×720 pixel resolution. Panasonic has powered it with True Octa-core 1.7 GHz MediaTek mobile which is paired with 1 GB RAM to deliver smooth performance. By default, the smartphone offers 8 GB on-board storage and memory card slot to support up to 32 GB micro SD card.

Panasonic P81 has the new Play Life UI on top of the 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. The Play Life UI offers series of Multi Play features such as Dual Play that lets the user stack up two windows next to each other. This feature is very similar to the Qslide in LG smartphones and Multi Window in Samsung mobile phones. The Play Life UI also brings the new Gesture Play feature which requires the user to draw predefined pattern on the screen to unlock the smartphone’s Lockscreen.

The P81 has a 13 megapixel camera and an LED flash in its rear and it claimed to record full HD videos at 30 frames per second. Besides, the phone has G-sensor, Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Bluetooth, WiFi support and 2 megapixel front facing camera.

This dual-SIM configuration supporting smartphone can support one network enabled SIM card in one slot and 2G network SIM card in other.

Panasonic has partnered with several app developers to offer App freebies worth Rs 9,900 for free on the smartphone. Apart from that, the phone also bundles along accessories such as scratch guard, cover and more worth Rs 2000 for free with the phone.

Panasonic P81 Dual SIM smartphone will be sold in India for Rs 18,990 in Black Colour option.
