Panasonic Lumix G95 20.3MP Hybrid Mirrorless Camera launched in India, starts at Rs 94,990

The Lumix G95 comes with a 20.3-megapixel Digital Live MOS Sensor and Venus Engine to render natural, high-precision images. It has a Live View Finder with magnification ratio of approximately 1.48x/0.74x. There’s a 3.0-inch LCD rear monitor with 1240K-dot high resolution and free-angle shooting to up to 250-degrees.

Months after launching the Lumix S1 and S1R full-frame mirrorless cameras in India, Panasonic has now introduced the Panasonic Lumix G95 20.3MP Hybrid Mirrorless Camera in the region with a starting price of Rs 94,990. The Lumix G95 is a successor to last year’s Lumix G85 mirrorless camera and features 5-Axis Dual image stabilisation and Video support.

Having globally launched in April, the Lumix G95 comes with a 20.3-megapixel Digital Live MOS Sensor and Venus Engine to render natural, high-precision images. It has a large LVF (Live View Finder) with a high magnification ratio of approximately 1.48x / 0.74x (35mm camera equivalent). There’s also a 3.0-inch rear monitor with 1240K-dot high featuring free-angle shooting to up to 250-degrees.

The Lumix G95 equips the 5-axis Dual I.S. (Image Stabiliser) 2 technology which suppresses blurring to enable a 5-stop slower shutter speed to take full advantage of both stabilisation systems. It features a Power Saving LVF function which when enabled activates sleep mode to save battery consumption.

The camera comes with high-speed (approx. 0.07 sec) and a high-speed burst shooting at 9 (AFS) / 6 fps (AFC). There’s a Depth From Defocus technology which calculates the distance to the subject by evaluating images with different sharpness levels and also consulting the data of optical characteristics of the lens.

In terms of videography, the LUMIX G95 is capable of recording 4K video in 3840×2160 at 30p or 24p in addition to the full-HD 1,920 x 1,080 60p videos with practical full-time AF. The camera can record slow-motion video in Full at 120 fps (1/4x), 90 fps(1/3x) and 60 fps (1/2x).

For connectivity, the G95 includes a 3.5mm microphone jack for input, a socket for sound output, 4.2, Wi-Fi 2.4GHz and a for charging.

The Panasonic Lumix G95 Hybrid Mirrorless Camera will be available in a base G95M 12-60mm (F3.5- 5.6) kit for Rs 94,990. Users also have the option to buy the G95H Kit with a 14-140mm (F3.5-5.6) kit for a price of Rs 1,09,990. The camera is available in India at all Panasonic stores.
