Oppo is all set to launch its new camera smartphone under its R-series, which will be called as the Oppo R9. The announcement came from the company itself which revealed this through its latest teaser that was posted on its Weibo account. The teaser has a big ‘9’ number and “This time, it is worth and other “9” point” written on it. The teaser also has a tagline – #OPPO New camera phone R9 #.
As of now company has not revealed any details, except that the upcoming device will be a camera-centric smartphone. However, there are rumors that the Oppo R9 will look similar to iPhone 6s Plus.
The Oppo R9 is rumored to come with a 21-megapixel rear camera and a 13-megapixel front shooter. It is also expected to have a 6-inch QHD (1440 x 2560 pixel) display, the Snapdragon 820 processor, 64GB of internal storage and 3 GB or 4 GB RAM.
The Oppo R9 will run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system and will be backed up by a 3700 mAh battery. Besides, the smartphone will offer a fingerprint scanner, 4G LTE, WiFi (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac), WiFi Direct, WFi hotspot, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS/AGPS support. The smartphone is expected to be unveiled in March and will priced around 350$ (approximately Rs 23,964).
