Oppo is all set to launch its Reno 2 series in India in the end on this monthand now a week before the launch, company has officially revealed almost all the key specifications through a statement. The company has already sent the media invites for the August 28th India launch event, where they are going to launch Oppo Reno 2 series.
The Reno 2 series will come packed with Snapdragon 730G SoC with a dedicated Neural Processing Unit (NPU) to capture much faster and superior utilizing the Ultra Dark Mode and Bokeh Mode. The smartphone will have8GB RAM along with 256GB storage andwill be backed up by a4000mAh battery having VOOC Flash Charge 3.0 support with Type-C charging cable.
Reno 2 smartphone will have full-screen borderless design and back panel of the device is constructed from a single piece of 3D curved glass with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The smartphone will have 6.55-inches AMOLED Panoramic screen with 20:9 aspect ratio, 93.1% Screen to Body Ratio. The Reno 2 will have a Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection and will house an in-displayG3 optical sensor fingerprint unlocking technology.
Further, Reno 2 smartphone will also have a Game Boost 3.0 with Frame Boost and Touch Boost. The frame boost 2.0 will allocate resources to avoid the consumption of too much power and the heating, while the touch Boost 2.0 will assess touch events and accelerates response time accordingly. Additionally, the True HDR10 Gaming Support allows maximum display resolution. It also has a Link Boost features which help in utilizing Wi-Fi and 4G signals simultaneously even when the Wi-Fi network signals are weak. The device also features Game Assistant which will turn off the notification while gaming. Moreover, the phone will have two colour options to choose from, Ocean Blue and Luminous Black.
Yesterday, two Oppo smartphones with the model number PCKM00 and PCKT00 had been spotted on TENAA listings and above specifications are more or less on the line of this listing. As per the listing, the Reno 2 will sport quad-camera setup with 48MP as the primary sensor, a 13MP telephoto sensor with 2x optical zoom, 8MP ultrawide sensor and a 2MP depth sensor. Moreover, it will have a 16MP Shark Fin rising camera on the front for selfies. The device will measure 160 x 74.3 x 9.5 mm and will weigh 189 grams.
As per media reports, Oppo is said to launch two more versions of the Reno 2, dubbed as Reno 2Z and Reno 2F. The Reno 2Z said to feature 6.53-inch Full HD+ AMOLED Display and an in-screen fingerprint reader. The device will be powered by a MediaTek Helio P90 Processor with up to 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. The camera unit on the Reno 2Z could be same as the standard Reno 2. The Reno 2 and Reno 2Z will say to be priced around Rs 40,000 and Rs 25,000 respectively.
On the other hand, the Reno 2F is rumoured to come with a 48MP Samsung ISOCELL Bright GM1 sensor and three other lenses at the back. It is said to be priced under Rs 20,000.
