As reported earlier, Oppo unveiled its latest Oppo R7s (the successor of Oppo R7) on October 18th at an event held in Dubai. The smartphone will first debut in Australia followed by other Asian markets, however as of now there is no word on its India launch. Oppo has not revealed its price either.
Oppo R7s features a 5.5-inch AMOLED Full HD (1080×1920 pixels) display with Corning Gorilla Glass 4. It is powered by a 1.5 GHz octa-core (Qualcomm MSM8939 Snapdragon 615 chipset) processor paired with 4GB of RAM and Adreno 405 GPU. The handset runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop operating system with Color OS 2.1 on top.
The Oppo R7s come with 32 GB of internal storage which will be further expandable up-to 128GB via a micro SD card. The handset gets the power from a 3070 mAh non-removable battery that comes with Fast charging technology (VOOC Flash Charge) which claims up-to 2 hours of talk time with just 5 minutes of charging. On the camera front, Oppo R7s sport 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 8-megapixel front camera for selfies and video calling. For connectivity it offers WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB and USB OTG functionality. The handset measures 151.8×75.4×6.7mm and weighs 155 grams.
Recently, Oppo launched two smartphones in India, the R7 Lite and R7 Plus, priced at Rs 17,990 and Rs 29,990 respectively.
