Oppo R15, R15 Dream Mirror Edition with 6.28-inch Full HD+ display announced

The Oppo R15 will be available in White, Red and Purple colour options, while the Dream Mirror Edition is available in Mirror Red, Black colour options.

Oppo has finally announced the launch of its latest flagship devices, the Oppo R15 and Oppo R15 Dream Mirror Edition, in China. The Oppo R15 comes with a price tag of 2999 Yuan (approx. Rs 30,500), Oppo R15 Dream Mirror Edition is priced at 3299 Yuan (approx. Rs 33,500). There is also a special edition of Oppo R15 with ceramic body and it is priced at 3499 Yuan (approx. Rs 35,900). The smartphones will be available for sale in the country from April 1st.

The Oppo R15 will be available in White, Red and Purple colour options, while the Dream Mirror Edition is available in Mirror Red, Black colour options. Both the smartphones comes with a glass design at the back, while the Special Edition has a ceramic body.

To start with, Oppo R15 is equipped with a 6.28-inch Full OLED display with an Apple iPhone X-like notch and an aspect ratio of 19:9. The phone is powered by octa-core MediaTek Helio P20 processor clocked at 2.0 GHz along with Mali-G72 MP3 GPU. The phone is backed by a 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internals storage, which can be further expanded up to 256GB via card slot.

Oppo R15

On the camera front, the phone is backed by a dual camera setup at the rear. The primary camera is of 16-megapixel with f/1.7 aperture, Sony IMX519 sensor, 1.22-micron size, Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS), while the secondary camera comes with a 5-megapixel sensor with f/2.2 aperture. For the front, there is a 20-megapixel shooter for selfies and video calling. The Oppo R15 is backed by a 3450mAh battery with VOOC Flash charging, which the brand claims can offer of 2 hours with 5 minutes of charge.

The Oppo R15 Dream Mirror Edition is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor along with Adreno 512 GPU. The phone is backed by a 3400mAh battery with VOOC Flash charging. The phone comes with a 16-megapixel primary sensor and 20-megapixel secondary sensor at the rear, while for the front, there is a 20-megapixel shooter. Apart from this, the specifications is same as the Oppo R15.

Both the smartphones run on 8.1 Oreo, which is based on Color OS 5.0 and ont the connectivity front, both of them support VoLTE, WiFi, 5.0, GPS, USB Type-C and support. The Oppo R15 measures 155.1 × 75.2 × 7.4mm, while the Oppo R15 Dream Mirror Edition measures 155.3 × 75.0 × 7.5mm. Both of them weighs 175 grams.
