Chinese handset manufacturer, Oppo has launched its new flagship smartphone in India, called Oppo N3, for whopping Rs 42,990. As per the press released, it will be available for pre-order, but at the time of writing it wasn’t available on any leading e-retailers site. The highlight of N3 is its rotating camera module like its predecessor, the Oppo N1 and N1 Mini.
The Oppo N3 has a 5.5-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) display, thus offering Pixel density of 403ppi, and the display has Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection as well. This 8.7 mm thick handset (161.2 × 77 × 8.7 mm) weighs 192 grams. The Oppo N3 is based on the Android 4.4 KitKat operating system and has Color OS 2.0 interface. It runs on a 2.3 GHz Snapdragon 801 quad core processor and 2 GB RAM. The N2 has 32 GB of Internal Memory and offers additional 128 GB micro SD card slot. To run this huge smartphone, there is a 3000 mAh Li-Po battery that comes with flash charge facility.
The highlight of Oppo N3 is ofcourse its rotating camera – a 16 Megapixel unit that has Schneider-Kreuznach certified lens and it claims to be able to capture pictures with maximum Resolution of 64 MP. The camera has a pixel size of 1.34 micron and 5 optical lenses.
The OPPO N3’s motorized swivel camera comes with PI 2.0+ technology can track objects as they move, and can rotate up to 206 degrees. “The smartphone is equipped with a multi-frame synthesis super-sampling technique that can combine multiple low resolution RAW images into an ultra-high resolution picture with greater details,” Oppo further claimed.
The Oppo N3 has two SIM slots – one for micro SIM card and another for a nano SIM. It is compatible with 4G-LTE networks though the press release issued by Oppo India talks nothing about that. It has many other connectivity features like US OTG, Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi (b/g/n/a/ac), WiFi Direct, WiFi Display, GPS and NFC.
