Oppo Mobiles has sent invitations to media groups for the launch of a device on May 30. This device is most likely to be the purpoted Oppo N1 mini handset. The Mobile Indian recently reported about the Oppo N1 mini sighting at the FCC filings. Now the Invite put up on the China’s microblogging social network Weibo points at the arrival of the new smartphone.
As the name suggests, the Oppo N1 mini is a slightly stripped down versions of Oppo N1. Leaked images reveal its close resemblance with Oppo N1. Likely to be branded as the Oppo N1 mini, this handset offers 5-inch HD display and measures 9.2 mm thick.
The handset is expected to come with a 5-inch touchscreen display with 1280×720 pixel resolution. This slashes about 0.9-inch from Oppo N1’s display that sports full HD resolution. Considering the certification, the launch of this device must be around the corner and it may come loaded with the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update.
Oppo N1 mini measures 9.2 mm thick and features a 13 Megapixel swivel camera at the rear with an LED Flash next to it. Oppo will pack a 2140 mAh Lithium Ion battery to power this device. As per the filing, this Oppo device will also support LTE-FDD for 2100 Mhz, 1800 Mhz, 1700 Mhz and 2600 Mhz bands. Quite simply if released in India, it will support the 4G LTE solutions currently being planned for the Indian market.
