After a series of rumours, Oppo has finally announced the Oppo K1 smartphone in China, as expected. The Oppo device comes with flagship specs, a large AMOLED Display and an in-display fingerprint scanner for a starting price of 1599 yuan (approx. Rs 17,100).
The Oppo K1 features a 6.4-inch Full HD+ AMOLED screen with a tiny waterdrop notch at the top which expands the screen real estate to 91 percent and has a Resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels. The device is powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 660 Mobile Platform with Adreno 512 graphics and 64GB RAM. Users will be able to purchase the K1 in two RAM configurations – 4GB and 6GB.
The smartphone comes with a dual camera setup at the back that combines a 16MP primary sensor with a 2MP depth sensor in addition to an LED flash. On the front, there’s a 25MP selfie camera as Oppo has been known for. As for biometrics, the Oppo K1 equips an in-display fingerprint sensor on the front.
Oppo’s K1 smartphone runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with the company’s own ColorOS 5.2 interface on top. Weighing in at 156 grams, the device is fuelled by a 3,600mAh battery and thus measures 7.4mm on its thickest side. The Oppo K1 supports Dual 4G VoLTE with support for WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5, GPS and GLONASS.

The Oppo K1 will be available in Mocha Red and Van Gogh Blue colours with asking prices of 1599 yuan (approx. Rs 17,100) and 1799 yuan (approx. Rs 19,300) for the 4GB and 6GB RAM variants respectively.
