Oppo is all set to add another member to its selfie-focused F series by introducing the F3 smartphone in India on May 4. Just like Oppo F3 Plus, the F3 will come loaded with dual selfie camera. Further, the company has also tied up with Tollywood film, Baahubali, for its upcoming smartphone.
The smartphone is touted to come with a dual selfie camera with a Wide-Angle lens. The company further states that the smartphone will come with “high-performance hardware along with optimised software to provide smooth user experience,” however, the brand haven’t reveal specifications of the device. Looking at the image, it seems that the device will look similar to the Plus variant and it comes loaded with a front-facing fingerprint sensor.
To recall, the Oppo F3 Plus came with a dual-camera setup which includes a 16-megapixel camera with 1/3 inch sensor, Aperture f/2.0 and an 8-megapixel 120-degree wide-angle lens with a 6P lens. The front camera also comes loaded with Beautify 4.0. For the rear, the smartphone boasts a 16-megapixel shooter with Sony IMX398 sensor, aperture f/1.7 and dual PDAF focusing technology, which basically doubles the area of the sensor’s pixel making it 40 per cent faster focus speeds, as per company’s claim.
As for the rest of the specifications are concerned, the smartphone sports a 6-inch Full HD display with Corning Glass 5 protection and a screen resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The device is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 653 processor along with Adreno 510. The phone is backed by a 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, which can be expanded up to 256GB via microSD card slot. There is also a fingerprint sensor embedded in the home button, which is equipped with a hydrophobic membrane making it water-resistant.
The device runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with company’s ColorUI 3.0 running on top of it. The smartphone gets its power from a 4,000mAh battery along company’s in-house VOOC Flash Charge. On the connectivity front, the device support 4G, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.1 and hybrid dual-SIM. The phone measures 163.63 x 80.8 x 7.35mm and weighs about 185 grams.
It would be interesting to see how competitively Oppo F3 will be priced as the Plus variant was already considered as a tad expensive option for Rs 30,990, especially, when compared to the likes of OnePlus 3T, Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro and even Micromax Dual 5, which surely give better performance coupled with some top-of-the-line specifications at similar price point.
