Chinese smartphone maker, Oppo has launched a new smartphone named as Oppo A71 (2018). The smartphone is presently listed on the company’s official Pakistan website and it is priced at PKR 19,899 (approx. Rs 11,508). It comes in Gold and Black colour variants.
Oppo A71 (2018) is the successor of Oppo A71 which was launched in India last year for Rs 12,990. Recently, the smartphone got a price cut of Rs 3,000 and now available at Rs 9,990.
One of the highlighting features of the new A71 is the AI-Beauty Recognition technology which helps in shooting better selfies plus it brings in a couple of improvements to the hardware as well as compared to last year’s Oppo A71. The major differences between the two variants are the chipset, ColorOS version and memory storage.
The Oppo A71 (2018) features a metal unibody design and a 5.2-inch HD (720 x 1280 pixels) display. It is fueled by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 octa-core 1.8GHz processor instead of MediaTek MT6750 Chipset in Oppo A71 and Adreno 506 GPU. The smartphone comes with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, which can be further expandable to 256GB with a microSD card. The phone runs on Android 7.1 Nougat Color OS 3.2 operating system and is juiced by a 3000mAh battery. The original A71 had 3GB of RAM and ColorOS 3.1 operating system.

On the camera front, the Oppo A71 (2018) has a 13-megapixel rear camera with f/2.2 aperture, PDAF, LED Flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with camera f/2.4 Aperture for selfies and video chats. Besides, the smartphone will offer dual-SIM support, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n), Bluetooth 4.2, and GPS. It has a dimension of 148.1×73.8 x7.6 mm and weighs 137 grams. The Sensors include Proximity Sensor, Light Sensor, Accelerator Sensor and E-compass.
