Oppo has reportedly slashed the price of Oppo A5 smartphone by Rs 1,000. The smartphone was launched in August this year for Rs 14,990. Now after the price cut of Rs 1,000, the Oppo A5 is priced at Rs 13,990.
The price cut news comes via Mumbai based retailer, Mahesh Telecom. On Twitter, the retailer tweeted “#OppoA5 now for Rs.13990/- only”. However, it is to be noted that Amazon India and Flipkart are currently selling Oppo A5 at its original launch price of Rs 14,990.

The Oppo A5 features a 6.2-inch notched HD+ display with 720 x 1520 pixel resolution, 19:9 aspect ratio and an 87.9 per cent of screen-to-body ratio. It is armed with Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 octa-core processor at a clock speed of 1.8GHz with Adreno 506 GPU. The smartphone comes with 4GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage and an expandable memory up to 256GB with microSD card slot.
On the camera front, the Oppo A5 has dual rear cameras with a combination of 13-megapixel with LED flash, f/2.2 Aperture and 2-megapixel sensors with f/2.4 aperture. For the front, the phone has an 8-megapixel front camera with f/2.2 aperture and AI beautify features which claim to recognize 296 facial features.
The phone gets its power by 4230mAh battery which claims to offer up to 14 hours of video playback, and 11 hours of gaming playback. It runs Android 8.1 Oreo-based ColorOS 5.1 out-of-the-box. The device also comes equipped with a circular rear fingerprint sensor.
The phone has various connectivity features like a Dual-SIM support, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n ac, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS/A-GPS, Micro USB 2.0 port, and a 3.5mm audio port. For dimensions, it measures 156.2 x 75.6 x 8.2 mm and it weighs 168 grams.
