Chinese handset maker, OnePlus today announced the launch of its much rumoured smartphone, OnePlus X, in an event held in Delhi, India. The handset comes in two versions – the regular Onyx colour model which is priced at Rs 16,999 and will be available from November 5 while the limited edition Ceramic colour variant is priced at Rs 22,999 and will be available from November 24.
The OnePlus X, which looks stunning in a glass and metal design, is just 6.9 mm thick and weighs 138 grams. It offers a 5 inch Active Matrix OLED display with full high definition (1920×1080 pixels) resolution.
The OnePlus X is based on the Oxygen OS that is built upon the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop operating system. To run the OS, the phone has the powerful Snapdragon 801 quad core processor that runs at 2.3 Ghz and 3 GB LP-DDR3 RAM. There is 16 GB of internal storage in the phone along with an expandable storage slot that can hold a micro SD card of up to 128 GB.
The OnePlus X has a 2525 mAh Li-Po battery WiFi (b/g/n), Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS with GLONASS and BDS. Note that it has one nano SIM card slot while the other slot can either be used for a SIM card or for a micro SD card. It is compatile with 4G networks too.
The smartphone has a 13 Megapixel rear camera with F/2.0 Aperture and slow motion video recording capability and for selfies it offers an 8 megapixel front camera. Other than that the new OnePlus X offers dual microphone for noise cancellation and FM radio.
Both the models of OnePlus X has 5-inch OLED display with full HD Resolution and are powered by Snapdragon 801 processor, 3GB RAM, 16GB onboard storage, a 2525 mAh battery, 13 megapixel rear camera and an 8 megapixel front snapper.
