Finally a Good News for OnePlus 2 users. With Android Nougat on its way for the OnePlus 3 and 3T, the company has today rolled out OxygenOS 3.5.5 update for the OnePlus 2. Now, sadly, it is still based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow but the update brings in a tonne of new features, of which the most important being the VoLTE support. The update is being rolled out via OTA and weighs at 1.2GB.
Apart from that, the new update brings in a new Battery Saving Mode, App Lock (in Security and Fingerprint settings), Gaming Mode (Settings > Developer Options), Additional customizations for Alet Slider, Revamped UI and Volume Adjustment Bar, and other stability enhancements and bug fixes. Shelf is now clean and more customizable.
OnePlus has jumped straight from OxygenOS 3.1.0 to 3.5.5 for the OnePlus 2. The company also warned that flashing back to 3.1.0 might give rise to problems like WiFi and Network connectivity and issues with fingerprint scanner. Further, with the new update, the clock, calculator and messages app has been replaced by the OnePlus apps.
We experienced the OxygenOS 3.5.4 on the OnePlus 3T and was really impressed with the added customizations. Meanwhile, if you own a OnePlus 2 and are already running the latest OxygenOs 3.5.5, let us know your opinions about the same.
