OnePlus introduces Software Maintenance Schedule for 3, 3T, 5, 5T and 6

OnePlus will be rolling out 2 years of regular software updates from the release date of the phone (release dates of T variants would be considered), along with new features. This simply means that the brand will provide the updates to OnePlus 3/3T till November 2018 and Android security patch till November 2019.

OnePlus has announced that it will give timely update to it’s flagship devices starting from OnePlus 3 to the latest OnePlus 6. The brand has announced Software Maintenance Schedule for it’s range of devices.

Under this programme, OnePlus will be rolling out 2 years of regular software updates from the release date of the phone (release dates of T variants would be considered), along with few features. The brand will also deliver including new versions, Android security patches and bug fixes as well. Further, the company will provide an additional year of Android security patch updates every 2 months.

This simply means that the brand will provide the updates to OnePlus 3/3T till November 2018 and Android security patch till November 2019. OnePlus 5/5T will get major updates till November 2019 and security patches till November 2020. Lastly, OnePlus 6 will get major Android update till May 2020 and security patches till May 2021.

As per the company, it will be publishing the last Open Beta build for OnePlus 3/3T later this week, and at the beginning of July, the brand will provide a stable version of OnePlus 3/3T for beta testers to migrate back to the stable version of OxygenOS.

OnePlus 3 and 3T will be getting regular updates till November of 2018 and 1 year of extended Android security patches. “We look forward to bring you more exciting news about Android version updates for OnePlus 3/3T in the coming months,” the company said.
