Alongside their new OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro smartphones, OnePlus has also announced the OnePlus 7 Pro 5G edition smartphone at a launch event in London, UK. The company has confirmed that the phone that it will be releasing in the UK later this year.
OnePlus has not revealed the specifications of OnePlus 7 Pro 5G edition but it is expected that the smartphone will bear the same set of specifications as of OnePlus 7 Pro. The 5G edition of this phone comes with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X50 LTE Modem which enables 5G capabilities on the device.
OnePlus 7 Pro 5G will be exclusively through EE carrier in the UK. However, the carrier is yet to has till now not confirmed that when it will be making the 5G network live in the U.K. The 5G edition is expected to be available in UK’s four capital cities – London, Cardiff, Edinburgh and Belfast – plus Birmingham and Manchester.
OnePlus 7 Pro 5G will likely have a 6.67-inch QHD+ Fluid AMOLED Display with 1440×3120 pixels resolution, 516ppi pixel density, 93 percent screen-to-body ratio, 800nits brightness, and 90Hz maximum refresh rate. It will pack Snapdragon 855 SoC with up to 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB UFS 3.0 storage. The phone will run on Android 9.0 Pie, which is based on OxygenOS and it will have a 4000mAh battery with support for Warp Charge 30 (5V/6A).
For the camera, the OnePlus 7 Pro will be equipped with a triple rear camera set up at the back, with one 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 sensor with f/1.6 aperture, and OIS, 16-megapixel Wide-Angle secondary sensor with f/2.2 Aperture and 117 degree field of view, and a third 8-megapixel sensor with f/2.4 aperture, 78mm focal length, and a 3x optical zoom. For the front, the phone has a 16-megapixel Sony IMX471 pop-up camera with f/2.0 aperture, Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS), and 1080p video recording support at 30fps.
