OnePlus 7 is expected to get an official launch date on Wednesday, April 17, according to a tweet straight from the company’s founder and CEO Pete Lau. However, a recent report hinted that the company would launch the OnePlus 7 on May 14.
Teasing the upcoming announcement of the next OnePlus smartphone, the company CEO Pete Lau on Monday tweeted that he will be sharing something about the upcoming phone on Wednesday. The tweet reads “I know you guys are stoked to hear about the new device – check back to see my post this Wednesday”. However, his tweet did not reveal anything else about the phone.
OnePlus is said to launch OnePlus 7, OnePlus 7 Pro, and a 5G-compatible OnePlus phone this year. OnePlus 7 Pro is expected to feature a 6.71-inch Super Optic display, which could bear a Full HD+ resolution. The smartphone will run on Android 9.0 Pie and will be powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor. It will be backed by an 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. For optics, the OnePlus 7 Pro will feature a 48-megapixel primary lens coupled with a 16-megapixel secondary shooter and an 8-megapixel sensor.
Coming to the OnePlus 7, the smartphone will feature a 6.5 inch AMOLED Display carrying “world’s fastest screen unlock” in-screen fingerprint sensor. The phone will be powered with Qualcomm Snapdragon 855, 8GB of RAM and storage of 128GB.
