OnePlus 6 receives OxygenOS Open Beta update based on Android Pie

Alongside Android Pie, the OxygenOS Open Beta 1 for the OnePlus 6 brings a new Do Not Disturb mode as well as Gaming Mode 3.0. The update also includes the default Android Pie gesture navigation.

OnePlus has started rolling out its first OxygenOS Open Beta build, and it is based on Android 9.0 Pie. However, a stable release for Android Pie availability is not known at the moment.

Alongside Android Pie, the OxygenOS Open Beta 1 for the OnePlus 6 brings a new Do Not Disturb mode as well as Gaming Mode 3.0. The update also includes the default Android Pie gesture navigation.

OnePlus 6 Users need to manually download the OnePlus 6 OxygenOS open beta and update it directly from update settings easily.

OnePlus says, since this is a beta update, some applications might have some issues. For example, Google Pay may not function properly on this OxygenOS beta software and Google may show as “Device is not Certified by Google” since this is still in beta.

Google launched its next-generation of the Android operating system – Android 9 Pie last month. The Android 9.0 Pie comes with a new feature which includes changes is the navigation system, Adaptive Battery, Adaptive brightness, Refreshed Notifications and more. The stable version of the Android 9 Pie started rolling out to Google devices and Essential Phone on the same day of its launch.
