With a launch slated for May 17th, OnePlus is just weeks away from releasing yet another one of their flagship killers and if rumours are anything to be believed, the entry-level variant of the device will start at a base price of Rs 36,999.
According to a publication named TrueTech, it’s been reported that the 64GB and 128GB storage versions of OnePlus 6 will be priced at Rs 36,999 and Rs 39,999 respectively upon launch. This clearly confirms that OnePlus has again taken to increase the prices of their devices which it constantly has been doing ever since the launch of its original OnePlus One device.
Though the same publication was also behind the pricing leak of the older OnePlus 5 device, we’d still advice you to treat this leak with a pinch of salt. To compare it with its predecessor’s pricing, the OnePlus 6 will thus be Rs 4,000 more expensive than OnePlus 5T having the same amount of storage. Comparing the more high-end 128GB storage variants of the two devices, the gap is relatively smaller as the OnePlus 6 is slated to only be Rs 2,000 costlier than the 128GB variant of OnePlus 5T.
OnePlus has revealed that it’ll be launching its next flagship at an event in London on May 16th which will be followed by the announcement of the same in China and India, a day later. Aside from its standard variants, the OnePlus 6 is also slated to sport a Limited Edition Avengers variant that will be revealed in collaboration with Marvel Studios. The device will go on sale starting May 21 and will be sold exclusively through its Asian exclusive retail partner, Amazon India.
The Chinese giant has confirmed that it’ll be employing Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 845 Processor with 6GB and 8GB RAM on the OnePlus 6. We’ve already looked at quite a few leaks that show the device to embrace an iPhone X like notch at the top of the 6.28-inch display. The flagship device will come with a vertically aligned dual camera setup with water resistance and wireless charging capabilities.
