OnePlus has started rolling out a new Beta update to its OnePlus 6, OnePlus 6T, OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T smartphones. The new beta update brings new features along with Fnatic gaming mode.
The company is rolling out OxygenOS Open Beta 20 for OnePlus 6, Beta 21 for OnePlus 6T, Beta 34 for OnePlus 5 and Beta 32 for OnePlus 5T. The new OxygenOS Open Beta update brings Android 9.0 Pie Digital Wellbeing feature to all the devices. The feature basically allows users to track the time spent on the phone. It also features Wind Down that basically turns the screen colours to grayscale.
The Beta update also bring the Fnatic mode, which was introduced in the OnePlus 7 Pro. The mode basically boost the performance and network reception so that users can get an immersive gaming experience on their OnePlus smartphones. Apart from this, the update also brings the latest June security patch.
However, it is important to note that this is a beta software and it might not be as stable as official OTAs are. If you have already flashed your smartphone with previous Open Beta builds, then you will receive the latest update via OTA.
Previously, the company rolled out Zen Mode and native screen recorder option for the OnePlus 6 and OnePlus 6T with OxygenOS beta update. The Zen Mode disables your phone for 20 minutes, allowing you to enjoy your surroundings or simply focus on your work without being distracted.
Additionally, the OxygenOS beta adds a native screen recorder and support for VoLTE/VoWiFi for some additional networks. OnePlus notes that the beta update fixes issues inside the Facebook Messenger and offers a smoother scrolling experience with added support for PIN-TO-TOP for notification category.
