OnePlus 5 Soft Gold Limited Edition launched, to be available in India from August 9

The limited edition OnePlus 5 is available for 6GB and 64GB storage variant (Rs 32,999) and it will go on sale on August 9 at 12:00 AM IST.

OnePlus has finally launched a new Soft Gold colour variant for its latest flagship device, the OnePlus 5. The limited edition OnePlus 5 is available for 6GB and 64GB storage variant (Rs 32,999) and it will go on sale on August 9 at 12:00 AM IST.

The device will be exclusively available from Amazon and company’s official website. Further, customers can also experience and purchase the device across OnePlus Experience stores in Bangalore, Mall of India Noida and Select Citywalk in New Delhi, while supplies last.

OnePlus says that it has further developed the sandblasting process, which makes the Soft Gold OnePlus 5 30 percent finer than that of previous OnePlus Soft Gold devices. “It takes an average of 180 days to create and perfect a coating of soft gold. Getting a perfectly even and light colour starts with running premium aluminium alloy through a diamond cutter.

“The surface is then sandblasted and polished with intense precision. Each second matters in this process or the anodized colour takes on a different shade. It’s an extensive process, but the result is worth it- a stunning matte finish, pleasing to see and feel,” the company explains the whole process of making the Soft Gold version.

Interestingly, OnePlus 5 8GB and 128GB storage variant, which was earlier available only in Midnight Black colour, will now come in Slate Gray as well. The latest colour options will be available on Amazon, company’s official website and across OnePlus Experience Stores in Delhi and Bangalore at Rs 37,999 in the upcoming weeks.
