OnePlus 5 confirmed to feature a massive 8GB of RAM

The source code of the listing page reveal that the smartphone will be backed by an 8GB of RAM

OnePlus has already announced that its next-generation flagship device, the OnePlus 5, will be launched in India on June 22. Soon after the announcement, Amazon India revealed that the upcoming smartphone will be exclusively available for purchase from the website on the same day. However, Amazon India has accidentally also revealed that OnePlus 5 will feature a massive 8GB RAM.
As spotted by Evan Blass, the source code of the listing page reveal that the smartphone will be backed by an 8GB of RAM along with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset, which is already confirmed by the company. “OnePlus 5 powered by 2.35GHz octa-core Snapdragon 835 and 8GB of RAM will release on 22 June 2017 as an exclusive at Amazon.in,” was spotted by Blass in the source code of the teaser page. This confirms that it will boast a massive RAM and most probably we might see two different RAM and storage configurations of the upcoming device.
Coming to the listing page, the smartphone will be exclusively available for purchase from Amazon India. The device will go on sale starting from 4:30 PM and users can opt-in for notifications regarding the release of the smartphone from the listing page.
the OnePlus 5 is turning out to be another ‘flagship killer’ device. The device is reported to be powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor along with Adreno 540 GPU. It will feature a Full display with a screen of 1080 x 1920 pixels, which contradicts previous rumours predicting a Quad HD display for the upcoming flagship device. The screen size will be of 5.5-inch. The device will be backed by a 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage.
The phone is reported to run on the latest 7.1.2 Nougat and will come with a bigger 3600 battery (Evan Blass leaked a 4000 mAh non-removable battery). Interestingly, similar to what we saw on OnePlus 3 and 3T, OnePlus is likely to go with a front-facing fingerprint scanner at the front. OnePlus is also expected to introduce the new Dash Charge 2.0.
