OnePlus is all set to launch a refreshed OnePlus 3 today with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 821 on board clocked at 2.35 GHz. The launch event will happen at 1 PM (E.S.T.) or 11:30 PM here in India. However, just ahead of the launch, OnePlus 3T was spotted on Chinese retailing website ‘Oppo Mart’ with a price tag of $499 (approx. Rs 33,800). The website clearly lists the specifications and ‘Coming Soon’ for the availability.
Further, the listing also reveals new storage option of 64 GB and also new Sony IMX398 sensor for the 16 megapixel primary camera lens. It doesn’t reveal if it will come with Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box. But, don’t trust this listing blindly as we are not sure if this is the actual leaked listing as the price quoted earlier via rumours was $479. Evan Blass posted some time back on Twitter that new OnePlus 3T will be OnePlus 3 + $80. Currently, OnePlus 3 sells at $399. So we would recommend you wait just a little more until OnePlus officially release the device. We hope OnePlus won’t ditch the AMOLED panel in the new OnePlus 3T.
Nevertheless, with a Snapdragon 821 inside, OnePlus seems to be targeting the Google Pixel as the new device will be Daydream VR-ready.
Briefing out the specifications of OnePlus 3, the current flagship from the not so new anymore Chinese manufacturer comes with a 5.5-inch 1080p Optic-AMOLED display. Inside, it sports a 2.15 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 Chipset coupled with Adreno 530. Being one of the first devices to come with 6 GB RAM, OnePlus 3 also comes with 64 GB internal storage which is not expandable. For photography, it has a 16-megapixel primary camera and the front camera is an 8-megapixel sensor. To juice up the device, we have a 3000 mAh non-removable battery. OnePlus 3 currently sells at Rs 27,999 exclusively on Amazon India.
