While people are still waiting the shipping of the Olive Smart V-S300 Android smartphone, which made its debut in India in February, the handset maker has come up with another Android smartphone, the Olive Fluid.
Priced at Rs 10,990, the Olive Fluid can be purchased from the Olive store which is offering an additional Rs 500 discount and it is also offering free shipping and transit insurance.
The Olive Fluid, code named V-W1, features a smaller 468 MHz processor along with a 256 MB of Internal Memory that works both as the RAM and ROM. Users can also upgrade the memory making use of its 32GB expandable memory slot.
One of the key highlights of this device is its big 3.5 inch touchscreen that has a capacitive touch input, so the users will be able to use all the benefits like pinch to zoom, multi touch and swipe of the Google’s Android Eclair 2.1 which comes as the operating system on the Fluid. But, its Resolution of 320 x 480 pixels might not be able to do justice.
A 3 Megapixel camera, in built GPS chip-set with AGPS capabilities, Wifi and Bluetooth 2.0 A2DP are some of its other features.
With so much features, the Olive Fluid V-W1 does justifies its price tag but still it has some glaring drawbacks such as the sub 500 MHz processor, a low resolution display and an aging operating system which might restrain some users from considering this as a choice for their upgrade to smartphone.
