Now Lenovo A6000 sold out in 2 secs; registration for 2nd sale starts at 6 PM today

According to Lenovo, 10,000 units were of its A6000 sold out in just two seconds.

In what could be another benchmark for flash sales, Lenovo has claimed to have sold out 10,000 units of Lenovo A6000 in just two seconds. Lenovo A6000 was announced for the Indian market earlier on January 16 and registration for the device was also started the same day. The first flash sale of Lenovo A6000, via Flipkart, started at 2 PM today.

“There has been a huge demand of the A6000 and there has been an unbelievable response for the first sale. 10, 000 units were on sale and got sold out in 2 seconds. Next registration starts at 6 p.m. today and Flipkart and Lenovo are working towards approving higher number to the consumers who were not able to buy unit today afternoon. The sale will now be every Wednesday at 2 pm,” announced Flipkart and Lenovo in a joint statement issued today.

Earlier this month, Micromax claimed to have sold out 10,000 unit of Yu Yureka in just four seconds. But the flash sale record still belong to Xiaomi which had in December 30 claimed to have sold 40,000 handsets in just six seconds. Xiaomi today also launched its latest flagship in India, the Mi 4, which too would be made available via flash sale on February 10.

Lenovo A6000 has the distinction of being the cheapest smartphone in India as of now followed by Xolo LT900 (Rs 7,699), Yu Yureka (Rs 8,999), and Redmi Note 4G (Rs 9,999). It comes with a 1.2 GHz, 64 bit Snapdragon 410 quad core processor, 4.4.4 KitKat operating system with Vibe UI 2.0 interface, and 1 RAM. The A6000 has 8 GB of internal storage and a 32 GB micro SD card slot. The smartphone has a 5 inch display with resolution.

Furthermore, the Lenovo A6000 has an 8 megapixel auto focus rear camera with flash light and a 2 megapixel fixed focus front camera. Most importantly, it has 4G (LTE) capability and comes withBluetooth 4.0 and WiFi as well. It is compatible with both TDD (2300 MHz, 40) and FDD (Band 3, 1800 MHz) networks of 4G.

In the Lenovo A6000, there is a 2300 Li-In battery with claimed talktime of 13 hours over3Gnetwork. Alternatively, it offers 11.5 days of 4G standby or 11 days of stand by on 2G/3G network.

The 128 grams weighing Lenovo A6000 measures 141x70x8.2 mm and has two micro card slots. It has Dolby Digital certified twin speakers in the front as well.
