Closing in 2016, OnePlus has now rolled out Android Nougat open beta 10 for the OnePlus 3.
Talking about the changes, Open Beta 10 brings in additional fixes and improvements. The update weighs 173 MB and is available via OTA (Over-The-Air) for those who are already on the previous beta 9. Apart from general improvements and fixes, Open Beta 10 brings in a new Data Saver feature. Further, the company claims that the new update will optimize fingerprint unlock, expanded screenshot, improve Wi-Fi performance, Battery consumption and overall system performance.
If you are not aware, Open Beta versions have to be manually flashed if you are on a stable version. Moreover, you will get the OTA updates for beta versions only and not for the official release. To be able to get the official OTA’s, one has to flash back to the latest official stable build.
We would only recommend you to flash the Open Beta Builds if you are well versed with the procedure. Further, the whole process requires clearing up data and cache so we advise you to make a backup before you go ahead with the flashing.
This is the third beta build based on Android Nougat after the company
released the open beta 8 earlier this month.
OnePlus claimed last month that the stable Android Nougat build for OnePlus 3 will be out by the end of this year. However, we are not sure if the stable version will be out by the end of this week. The beta versions are quite stable and we expect the Chinese handset manufacturer to release the update soon if not by this week.
