Nothing has started seeding the Android 13 based update for its only smartphone yet, called Phone (1), as Nothing OS 1.5. The new update brings a bunch of new features to the phone alongside a host of improvements such as up to 50% increase in app loading speed, new glyph sound pack and more. Nothing OS 1.5: New features
The new Android 13 based Nothing OS 1.5 update brings features such as a new weather app made by Nothing. It also comes with a more Glyph ringtones and notification sounds, more “Material You”, meaning more colour schemes available for matching third party apps to wallpaper and Lockscreen shortcut customisations as well.
Nothing has also improved the overall experience where you now have a QR Code scanner in the notification centre, Multi-language support that allows different languages for different apps, clipboard preview, foreground services list in notification centre and more. Then there are visual enhancements as well, such as new volume controls, new media player look, and smoother animations while locking and unlocking the device.
You get privacy upgrades as well, such as individual photo picker where you can choose to what photos you want to give access to when an app asks for it, personal safety app, media permissions and more. Lastly, system performance has also been improved such as enhanced system stability, self-repair option, increased background memory and general bug fixes.
Nothing OS 1.5: How to download
As Nothing has rolled out the update globally, it should now be available on your Phone (1) for download. To download the update, you can head over to the Settings and click on System update where the update would be showing. The update weighs around 1.5GB in size.
