Categorically denouncing reports, Research In Motion has said that it is not making any cheap BlackBerry phones.
“Our phones are ‘aspirational’ products. If you reduce prices too much, you may gain volumes but may lose the value your products have. We are not going to be meant for everyone,” RIM’s India managing director, Sunil Dutt was quoted as saying by The Times of India.
It is to be remembered that the Canadian company is set to launch its new BlackBerry 10 operating system on January 30. Also RIM’s chief marketing officer, Frank Boulben has confirmed that the company is set to launch six BlackBerry devices in this year.
Also, it was reported that, the company is planning to launch entry level handsets to help people enjoy the BlackBerry 10 operating system.
