Under Nokia's new competition, Spot the Lumia, lucky winners got an opportunity to make it to the 'Sky Party' on January 20.

On January 10 Nokia had announced a new competition for its new Lumia handsets. Under the new ‘Spot the Lumia’ contest, people could win a Nokia Lumia handset and 50 lucky winners would be hosted to the first ever Sky Party by Nokia on Jet Airways aircraft.

Nokia on January 20 hosted the first ever Sky Party for the lucky winners of the ‘Spot the Lumia’ competition which was announced as part of Nokia’s ‘Amazing Everyday Campaign’.

Prashanth Mani, general manager, west, Nokia India, said, “The Amazing Everyday Journey has been designed to live and share the consumer’s everyday adventures.

The campaign is aimed at reminding people that even everyday routine can be amazing and there are little adventures waiting for everyone around the corner.”

The winners were joined by Bollywood celebrities such as Tisca Chopra – Indian film actress, known for her role in Taare Zameen Par, Meiyang Chang – singer, actor and winner of reality dance show, Jhalak Dikhlaja, Rajat Barmecha – the lead actor in Udaan movie, Manasvi Mamgain – Miss India World 2010 and GurpreetBedi – Miss India 2010 contestant.

The celebrities interacted with the lucky winners and joined the extravaganza in the sky. The party was hosted by stand-up comic artist – Papa CJ, who had the winners and Bollywood celebs in splits.

The Lumia branded Jet Airways aircraft, which hosted the Sky party, was painted entirely in the new Lumia colours and sported the tile interface of the new Nokia smartphone on its windows, as well as inside the aircraft.

Nokia’s Sky Party was a 45 minute extravaganza on board the Nokia Lumia Jet Airways flight with some amazing experiences for contest winners. The aircraft took off from Mumbai and landed back after the party.

Nokia had launched two handsets under its Lumia brand in India in December 2011.

The Nokia Lumia 800 comes with a 3.7 inch Amoled touchscreen display, 8 camera, with Windows Phone 7.5 Mango operating system.

On the other hand, Nokia’s Lumia 710 smartphone has a 3.7 inch touchscreen display, 5 megapixel camera with Windows Phone 7.5 Mango operating system.
