Nokia X5 launched with 5.86-inch HD+ notched display and dual rear cameras

The Nokia X5 features a 5.86-inch HD+ display with a screen resolution of 1520 x 720 pixels and a 19:9 aspect ratio. It will be the second phone with a notched display from HMD Global after Nokia X6. The phone runs on Android 8.1 Oreo upgradable to Android P and it features fingerprint sensor at the back panel.

HMD Global has announced the launch of its new X-series with Nokia X5 smartphone in China. The device comes with the price of 999 Yuan (approx. Rs 10,200) for 3GB and 32GB storage option and 1,399 yuan (approx. Rs 14,300) for 4GB RAM and 64GB storage variant. The phone will be available in China from July 19 in Black, White and Blue colour options.

The phone is powered by a 2GHz octa-core processor with Mali-G72 GPU. The Nokia X5 comes in 3GB/4GB of RAM with 32GB/64GB of internal storage. The memory can be further expanded up to 256GB via micro card slot.

On the camera front, there is a dual-camera setup with a 13-megapixel primary with Flash, PDAF and a secondary 5-megapixel sensor for portrait shots. For the front, there is an 8-megapixel selfie camera for video calling and selfies with AI-powered features. The front camera comes with AI-powered Face Unlock feature. Further, the phone comes loaded with bothie feature, which basically utilises both front and rear cameras to capture a picture. The phone is backed by a 3000mAh battery and on the connectivity front, it supports VoLTE, 4.2, WiFi, GPS, GLONASS, and USB port. The phone measures 149.51 x 71.98 x 8mm and weighs 160 grams.
