Nokia is preparing to introduce the new batch of Lumia series devices running Microsoft’s Windows Phone platform. Nokia has sent out invitation for a press event scheduled to take place on 2 April. This launch will happen at the same place as the Microsoft BUILD Developer Conference 2014 starting on the same day. Nokia expects to launch more Lumia models running the Windows Phone 8.1 platform set to be announced together.
Microsoft is expected to show the Windows Phone 8.1 update codenamed Blue at the upcoming BUILD Developers Conference 2014 on 2 April. Banking on the same, Nokia has also sent out invites to launch the Lumia series of devices. The event invite simply carries the text – More and #moreLumia hashtag. Interesting bit is that the more text carries a large Nokia MixRadio smiley logo.
So far, the leaked series of Nokia Lumia devices include Lumia 630 codenamed Moneypenny and Lumia 930 codenamed as Martini.
The Lumia 630 is the obvious successor of the Lumia 620 smartphone and will feature on-screen Menu buttons. This smartphone has 4-inch touchscreen display and may be introduced with Dual-SIM variant.
Nokia is also expected to bring the Lumia 530 codenamed as Rock and will be an iterative version of the Nokia Lumia 520 smartphone.
The invitation hints the Lumia launch to introduce the MixRadio related announcements.
